Budget hotels across Sukhumvit, Silom and the old town hold the US$25 to US$50 band, mid-range rooms near Sukhumvit, Silom and the Riverside run US$60 to US$120, and the Riverside, Sukhumvit and Sathorn luxury tier starts around US$180, as of August 2026.

Bangkok gives more room and more pool for the price than Tokyo or Seoul at every tier. Paying for a Sukhumvit or Silom address near a BTS Skytrain station usually beats a cheaper room far from the metro, since street traffic makes distance expensive in time.

How seasons move rates

The December year-end and Songkran in mid-April are the peak pricing windows, with rates commonly 30 to 60 percent above the annual baseline. The cool, dry months of November to February hold firm high-season pricing, while the June to October monsoon is the reliable trough, when the same rooms discount sharply.
