Booking windows by season

Ultra-early booking, eight months or more out, rarely beats the 2 to 4 month window on this market outside peak weeks, because airlines open schedules at unremarkable fares and adjust downward once competitive loads are visible.

The cheap months

Late January to early March, after the New Year holiday and before cherry blossom demand, is the most consistently cheap departure window.
