Bali’s value is unusual: hostel beds and family-run guesthouses start around US$8 to US$20 a night, and the US$25 to US$50 band buys a clean budget hotel or an Ubud homestay with breakfast. Mid-range money, US$60 to US$150, reaches pool villas and boutique resorts that would cost several times more in most destinations, and the luxury tier in Uluwatu, Nusa Dua and Ubud starts around US$250, as of August 2026.

Area matters as much as tier: Canggu and Seminyak carry the highest prices per quality level on the strength of the beach-club scene, while Ubud, Sanur and Kuta deliver more room for the same money.

How seasons move rates

July, August and the December to early January holidays are the peaks, with popular properties commonly pricing 30 to 60 percent above the annual baseline and the best-reviewed villas selling out weeks ahead. The wet-season months of late January to March are the reliable trough.
